General specification for ignition devices of solid rocket motors

1 Scope

1.1 Subject content

This specification specifies the performance characteristics, physical and chemical properties, environmental requirements, quality assurance requirements and delivery preparation requirements of the ignition devices of solid rocket motors (hereinafter referred to as the "ignition devices").

1.2 Application scope

This specification is applicable to the design, manufacture, test, acceptance, storage and transportation of ignition devices.

1.3 Classification

Ignition devices are classified into the following two types according to their structures:

a. rocket type ignition device: it is mainly composed of ignition components, top cover, ignition cartridge, ignition combustion chamber and ignition nozzle.

b. cartridge pouch (bag) type ignition device: it is composed of main components such as ignition components and ignition cartridge (bag).
