Scope

This standard provides methods for reporting test and calibration results in test reports and calibration certificates, as well as methods for determining the compliance of test and calibration results with specifications and reporting methods in test reports and calibration certificates. The reporting methods of test or calibration results in this standard are applicable to all types of test and calibration results. The specification compliance determination and reporting methods of this standard are only applicable when the uncertainty of the measurement results is in accordance with the method specified in is /IEC 98-3 "Uncertainty of Measurement Part 3 - Guidelines for the Expression of Uncertainty of Measurement" (GUM) Assess the situation.
