Scope
This standard specifies a method for determining the failure strain and failure stress of asphalt by direct tensile testing. This method can be used for unaged asphalt materials or for asphalt materials after asphalt rotating film oven test (RTFOT) or asphalt pressure aging vessel accelerated aging test (PAV). The applicable test temperature range of this standard is 6℃～-36%. If used for asphalt materials containing particles, this standard test method is only applicable to asphalt particles with particle sizes less than 250 µm. This standard does not involve safety regulations for use. Standard users are responsible for formulating appropriate safety application procedures before use.
