Scope

This test method is used to measure the dynamic shear modulus and phase angle of asphalt. The measurement range of asphalt dynamic shear modulus value is 10MPa～10MPa, and the applicable temperature range is usually between 5℃～85℃. This standard can determine the linear viscoelastic properties of asphalt within specification tests, but cannot obtain all linear viscoelastic properties of asphalt. This standard applies to unaged asphalt or aged asphalt obtained according to SH/T 0736 Asphalt Rotating Film Oven Test Method and SH/T 0774-2005 Asphalt Accelerated Aging Test Method (PAV method). For asphalt containing particles, this standard is only applicable to asphalt with a particle size less than 250 µm. This standard does not involve safety regulations related to use. It is the responsibility of the user of the standard to develop appropriate safety application procedures before use.
