Introduction

This standard specifies a method for determining the antimony content in thermoplastic polyester. It outlines the necessary materials, equipment, and procedures for sample preparation, analysis, and result calculation. The method is applicable to a wide range of thermoplastic polyester materials used in various industrial applications. The standard provides detailed guidance on the calibration of instruments, quality control measures, and the interpretation of test results. It is designed to ensure consistency and accuracy in the measurement process, facilitating reliable comparisons between different samples and batches. The procedures described are suitable for use in laboratory environments and are intended to support quality assurance and compliance requirements within the relevant industry sectors.
