Introduction
The China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec) has released the "Guidelines for Rational Utilization of Energy in Petrochemical Design" under standard number SH/T 3003-2024. This guideline was officially published on April 10, 2024, and its implementation will commence from October 1, 2024.
This document aims to promote the efficient use of energy resources in petrochemical projects by providing comprehensive guidelines for design considerations. It covers a wide range of topics including but not limited to energy efficiency assessment methods, selection criteria for equipment with high energy utilization efficiency, optimization strategies for system integration and process flow design, and measures to reduce waste and emissions.
