Introduction


The China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec) Engineering Department has published the Standard SH/T 3045-2024, which details methods for designing and calculating thermal efficiency in tube furnaces used in petrochemical processing. This standard became effective on October 1st, 2024.


The purpose of this regulation is to provide a systematic approach to the design and analysis of heat transfer processes within tubular furnaces commonly utilized across various sectors of the petrochemical industry. It outlines procedures for assessing thermal efficiency based on input parameters such as fuel type, flow rates, operating temperatures, and combustion efficiencies.
