Scope

This guideline specifies the principles for material selection of equipment and piping for high-acid crude oil processing units. This guideline is applicable to the design and material selection of major equipment and pipelines for key installations in new construction, renovation, and expansion projects in the petrochemical industry that process high-acid crude oil and are mainly subject to acid corrosion.
