Scope

This specification is applicable to the structural design of cast-in-place reinforced concrete pools in petrochemical enterprises (the top cover can be prefabricated). The structural design of non-liquid storage pools and underground and semi-underground pump rooms can be implemented with reference. This specification does not apply to the design of fabricated reinforced concrete pools, prestressed concrete pools and caisson structures. This specification does not cover the foundation treatment of pools. For pools built on special soil layers such as weak soil, collapsible loess and expansive soil, the foundation treatment should comply with the current technical specifications for foundation treatment.
