Scope
This standard specifies the Gerber interface for printed circuit board layout data exchange format in the electronic automation design and manufacturing process. This standard applies to the design of electronic, computer and communication electronic products, including the design of electronic information systems, electronic circuits and printed circuit boards (PCBs) in various electronic products. When electronic design automation (EDA) tools are used for the above designs, it is used as a standard in the following situations: a. Printed circuit board physical layout (PCB)-level design interface; b. Electronic circuit computer-aided design ( The interface between CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), and computer-aided planning (CAPP); c. Standards for handing over data between electronic product designers and PCB light drawing centers and PCB board processing centers; d.
