Scope
This regulation stipulates the model muddy water test method for verifying the muddy water performance of the prototype turbine using a model turbine, and serves as the criteria for the muddy water acceptance test of the hydraulic turbine model. This procedure is applicable to the model muddy water acceptance test of impact-type (including mixed-flow, oblique-flow, axial-flow and tubular-flow) turbines. This procedure is limited to verifying the various indicators of the turbine's muddy water hydraulic performance specified in the turbine bid and contract, and does not involve the structure, strength, materials and other aspects of the turbine. This procedure is only applicable to the acceptance test of suspended muddy water with a sand content not exceeding 50kg/m3 and a median particle size less than 0.1mm.
