Steel Fiber Reinforcement Mechanism

The specification specifies the calculation formula for the standard value of the axial tensile strength of steel fiber concrete: fftk=ftk(1+αtρf(lf/df)), where the influence coefficient αt is 0.3-1.5 according to the fiber type. Engineering measurements show that adding 1.5% end hook steel fiber can increase the tensile strength of C30 concrete by 40-60%.

Special application scenarios

For the anti-abrasion parts of flood discharge structures, the specification requires that the steel fiber volume ratio should not be less than 1.0% and the cementitious material dosage should be ≥400kg/m³. A hydropower station stilling pool repair project used steel fiber concrete with a water-cement ratio of 0.35. After 5 years of operation, the wear amount was only 2.1mm.
