Cocoa swollen shoot virus (CSSV) belongs to the Cauliflower mosaic virus family and has the following characteristics:
- Morphological characteristics: Bacillary particles (121-130nm×28nm)
- Genome: 7.0-7.3kb circular double-stranded DNA, containing 5 ORFs
- Transmission vector: Mealybugs (semi-persistent transmission)

Critical control points:
- A sample OD405/negative control ratio of ＞2 is considered positive
- The enzyme-linked antibody dilution must contain 2% BSA stabilizer
- The substrate pNPP reaction needs to be incubated in the dark.
