Scope

This standard specifies a method for the determination of iron, aluminum, calcium, magnesium, manganese, zinc, copper, titanium, chromium, nickel, and vanadium in metallic silicon using inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES). This standard is applicable to the determination of iron, aluminum, calcium, magnesium, manganese, zinc, copper, titanium, chromium, nickel and vanadium in metallic silicon. The measurement range of each element is shown in Table 1.
