Scope
This standard specifies the clinical diagnosis and laboratory diagnosis of equine bubonic plague. Laboratory diagnosis includes bacterial isolation, physiological and biochemical identification, and molecular biology identification. This standard applies to the diagnosis and quarantine of equine bubonic disease (see Appendix A) in imported and exported horses, donkeys, mules and other equine animals.
