Scope

Warning: The application of this standard only addresses certain test-related safety issues and does not provide recommendations for all safety issues. Before using this standard, users are responsible for formulating appropriate safety and protective measures and clarifying its restricted scope of application. This standard specifies an automatic instrument test method for determining the pour point of petroleum products by applying slight air pressure to the surface of a cooling sample. This standard is applicable to the determination of pour point of petroleum products, and can adopt a temperature test interval of 1℃ or 3℃. The measured temperature range is -57℃~+51℃. This standard does not apply to the determination of crude oil pour point.
