Scope

This part of SN/T 3238 specifies the requirements, inspection and determination of import and export textile machinery. This section applies to all machinery and related equipment used in the textile industry for the following purposes:
　——opening, cleaning, mixing and carding of yarn or non-woven fabrics (including felt) made of fibers (short fibers and filaments) and other raw materials , preparation after carding, spinning and other processes;
　——Yarn winding, twisting, curling, deformation processes, etc. and yarn preparation processes before spinning and knitting;
　——Weaving, knitting, lace weaving to form fabrics and other similar devices;
　——Weaving of braids, ropes, twine, nets, etc., except the winding frame of rope rolling machines;
　——Preparation, bleaching and dyeing of fibers, yarns, fabrics, braided tapes, ropes, etc. , printing and finishing and factory assembly. - Piece dyeing of finished products;
　——Finishing of warp and weft knitting, including hosiery, but excluding stitching (i.e. sewing) of finished products - Process of weaving and tufting carpet production. Additional special safety requirements in other parts of this standard take precedence over the corresponding requirements in this part.
