Scope

This standard specifies the test principles, test procedures, data and reports for in vitro skin irritation tests on recombinant human epidermis of chemicals. This standard applies to the classification assessment of irritant chemicals category 2 (irritant compounds) of the United Nations Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) and the European Union Regulation on Classification, Labeling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP). This standard does not apply to the classification assessment of UN GHS Category 3 (slight irritants).
