Introduction

Technical background of the standard

This standard was issued in December 2016 and implemented in July 2017, replacing the original QB/T series industry standards. It uses gas chromatograph combined with mass spectrometer detector technology, and the detection sensitivity is increased to 0.1mg/kg.

Key Operational Points

Sample Pretreatment: Accurately weigh 1.0g of sample and add 25mL of methanol for ultrasonic extraction for 30 minutes. Filter through a 0.45μm filter and concentrate to volume. The extract should be concentrated to 2mL in a 40℃ water bath using nitrogen purging.

Instrumental Conditions: Use a programmed temperature ramp (60℃→245℃), an EI source at 70eV, and select ion monitoring (SIM) mode to select a characteristic ion pair, such as m/z 45/59/90 for EGDME.


Implementation recommendations

  1. Standard solutions should be prepared and used immediately, and stored at 4°C in the dark for no more than 3 days
  2. Blank tests and spike recovery tests (80%-120%) should be performed simultaneously for each batch of samples
  3. It is recommended to regularly verify the mass spectrometry response factor with standards
