Introduction
Technical Background of the Standard
This standard establishes a systematic dissolution testing method for the analysis of the composition of blends of regenerated cellulose fibers, such as lyocell, with cotton, viscose, and other fibers. Compared to the traditional microscopic method (GB/T 2910.1), the dissolution method offers high accuracy (±1.15%) and excellent reproducibility.
Core Test Principle
| Fiber Type | Dissolution System | Temperature Control | Time Requirements |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lyocell G100 | 59.5% Sulfuric Acid | 50±1℃ | 60±1min |
| Lyocell A100 | 68% Sulfuric Acid | 44±1℃ | 90±2min |
Key Operating Points
Establishing a Standard Curve
A gradient of samples with a lyocell content ranging from 5% to 100% should be prepared. A regression equation should be established using the least squares method (e.g., for A100: y=1.1242x, R²=1.0000). The correlation coefficient should be ≥0.999.
Mass Correction Requirements
According to the formula: PM=P(1+0.01a2)/[P(1+0.01a2)+(100-P)(1+0.01a1)], where a1 and a2 are the correction factors for the fiber's moisture content (refer to GB/T 9994).
Implementation Recommendations
- The dissolution process requires strict temperature control (±1°C), and a magnetic stirrer should be used to maintain a speed of 100 r/min.
- Residue filtration should be performed using a G2 glass crucible with a drying temperature of 105±3°C.
- Parallel test deviations exceeding 2% require retesting.
Technology Evolution Analysis
The innovation of this standard lies in: For the first time, it distinguishes between the dissolution conditions of A100 and G100 lyocell, resolving the problem of traditional methods' inadequate identification of regenerated cellulose fiber subclasses. Following the release of ISO 1833-25 in 2020, the temperature control parameters of this standard were adopted internationally.
