Technical background and importance of the standard

With the widespread application of perfluoroalkyl compounds (PFASs) in industry, their residues in food have attracted increasing attention. SN/T 5222-2019 standard has established a systematic detection scheme for 20 PFASs for honey, a special matrix, filling the gap in the detection standard of persistent pollutants in my country's bee products.

1. Sample Pretreatment

After weighing 5g honey sample, special attention should be paid to:

  • Use polypropylene centrifuge tube to avoid background contamination
  • Add isotope internal standard (such as 13C4-PFOA) to correct matrix effect
  • Nitrogen blowing temperature is strictly controlled below 40℃
