Core method principle

Two-dimensional separation is achieved by using microfluidic plate heart-cutting system:

  1. Pre-column separation stage: Non-polar pre-column (30m×530μm) is used to initially separate light hydrocarbon components
  2. Heart-cutting stage: Switch to the analytical column (Lowox column) at t1=1.05min
  3. Backflush stage: t2=3.10min to vent the heavy hydrocarbon components

Key instrument configuration

Typical chromatographic condition case: Shenzhen Customs Laboratory uses Agilent 7890B system, equipped with FID detector (250°C), carrier gas pressure 55 kPa, split ratio 2:1, column temperature program 50°C (1 min) → 10°C/min → 250°C (4 min).

Implementation suggestions

  1. Chromatographic column aging: New columns need to be aged at 250℃ for more than 12 hours
  2. Cutting time calibration: It is recommended to verify t1/t2 with ethyl tert-butyl ether standard every week
  3. Sample storage: Store at 0-5℃ away from light, and complete the test within 24 hours after opening
