With the strict restrictions on dimethyl fumarate (DMF) by the EU REACH regulation, my country issued the SN/T 5286 standard in 2021, innovatively using surface plasmon resonance to achieve trace detection of DMF in textiles. Compared with traditional GC-MS, this method has technical advantages such as no labeling required and real-time monitoring.

Typical Case: In the inspection of a sofa fabric exported to the EU, class=instrument>CM5 chip modified with DMF-BSA antigen, the △RU value was measured to be 382 response units, and the DMF content was detected to be 0.08 mg/kg after conversion by the standard curve, avoiding trade claims.
Key operating specifications
- Chip activation: EDC/NHS mixture volume ratio must be strictly controlled at 1:1
- Antigen coupling: DMF-BSA concentration is optimized to 50mg/L
- Regeneration conditions: Glycine-HCl solution (pH3.6) flow rate 100μL/min
Implementation recommendations
- The laboratory should establish a SPR instrument temperature compensation system (1-2℃ lower than room temperature)
- It is recommended to perform chip light intensity calibration for each batch of tests (attenuation ≤20%)
- The extract needs to be filtered through a 0.22μm PTFE membrane
