Scope
This standard specifies public alert procedures applicable to pipeline operating companies. The purpose of this standard is to guide pipeline operating companies in preparing and implementing public warning procedures for in-service pipelines. This standard is applicable to the integrity management of oil and gas pipeline companies. It is applicable to operation managers, maintenance engineers and other related personnel of onshore oil and gas pipelines (hazardous liquid pipelines, natural gas transmission pipelines, gas company pipelines and gathering and transportation systems). The scope of application is: Oil and gas pipeline trunk lines, pumps, compressor stations and other facilities connected to pipelines. This standard does not apply to pipeline construction and accident emergency.
