Key technical requirements
Braking system functions
The standard requires that hydraulic disc brakes must integrate four major braking functions:
- Working brake: Normally open caliper hydraulic drive, minimum torque is calculated in Appendix A
- Parking brake: Normally closed caliper disc spring drive, torque ≥ 75% of working brake
- Emergency brake: Full clamp linkage mode
- Overhead crane anti-collision braking: safety interlock response time ≤0.5s
Key component requirements
Brake disc manufacturing must meet the following requirements:
- Parallelism ≤0.15mm, roughness Ra ≤1.6μm
- Total runout tolerance ≤0.3mm (relative to drum axis)
- Water cooling plate must pass 0.7MPa pressure test
- Welding and splicing process is prohibited
Inspection specification upgrade
The 2020 version of the standard strengthens the following inspection requirements:
- Type test: Added mandatory inspection frequency of 100 sets/times
- Hydraulic test: 1.5 times rated pressure for 10 minutes without leakage
- Brake verification: The torque must be measured on a drilling rig of the corresponding level
- Cleanliness: The hydraulic system requires ISO 4406 17/15 level
Implementation suggestions
Based on the standard requirements, the following measures are recommended:
- In extremely cold areas, use aviation hydraulic oil with a pour point of ≤-60°C (in compliance with GJB 1177A)
- Add VCI vapor phase anti-corrosion treatment to offshore platform equipment
- Establish a digital monitoring system for brake disc wear
- Perform MT inspection of clamp frame welds every 2000 hours
