Scope
This standard specifies the size, shape, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, markings and quality certificates of straight seam welded pipes with a diameter of 406mm and above for marine deepwater drilling risers. This standard applies to longitudinal submerged arc welded pipes for marine risers with water depths not exceeding 3000m. This standard does not apply to other welded pipes.
