Scope

1.1 This standard specifies the determination method of wax, gum and asphaltene content in crude oil. 1.2 This standard applies to crude oil with a water content (mass fraction or volume fraction) not greater than 0.5%. Crude oil with a water content greater than 0.5% should be dehydrated. 1.3 The measurement range of asphaltene content (mass fraction) is 0.5%~30.0%. This standard can still be used beyond this range, but the precision requirements of this standard cannot be guaranteed.
