Introduction

Background of Standard Revision and Technological Evolution

This standard integrates and replaces TB/T 1978-2007 and TB/T 3239-2010. The main technical upgrades include:

Revision dimensions 2007 version New content of 2018 version
Material requirements Unspecified low-temperature impact value Newly added -40℃ impact absorption energy ≥27J
Inspection items Basic mechanical properties Added metallographic structure and decarburization layer depth inspection
Appendix Specifications No special technical requirements Three new appendices, including hot-rolled steel and square steel

Analysis of core technical requirements

Structural type and material specifications

Composite brake beams are divided into three types: integral forging, integral hot rolling and shrink sleeve closed. Key material requirements:

  • Q460E steel: yield strength ≥420MPa, -40℃ impact energy ≥27J
  • Decarburization layer control: surface depth ≤0.3mm (Clause 4.3.5)
  • Widmanstatten structure: not exceeding Grade C according to Appendix C

Key performance indicators

Static load test case: Deflection test load 104.5kN deformation ≤2.5mm, safety factor test must meet the following requirements:

  • Vertical deformation ≤50mm
  • Lateral deformation ≤13mm
  • No cracks (Clause 5.6.2)

Implementation recommendations

Manufacturing process control

  1. Hot-fit process: end heating temperature 750-820℃, time 70-90s (Clause 4.4.8)
  2. Shot blasting: forgings need surface shot blasting (Clause 4.3.4)
  3. Welding specifications: Use low-hydrogen electrodes and prohibit welding surface defects (Clause 4.2.7)

Inspection points

Inspection type Sample size Judgment rule
Factory inspection 100% Appearance size + mechanical properties
Type inspection 8 pieces/batch 2 pieces static load + 4 pieces fatigue test
