Scope
This standard specifies the general conditions and methods for certification testing of diesel engines for power plants. This standard applies to diesel engines for power plants, but does not include special locomotives (such as refinery or mining locomotives) and traction diesel engines with an output power below 100kW. Each member road can use this standard to ensure the operational reliability of diesel engines for a certain type of power plant.
