Introduction

Interpretation of the core content of the standard

TB/T 2993.1-2016, as the basic part of the railway communication power supply series standards, systematically stipulates the technical requirements of key components such as high-frequency switching rectifier equipment and UPS system. For the first time, the standard clearly subdivides the communication power supply system into 6 subsystems, reflecting the modular design concept of railway communication power supply.

Analysis of key technical requirements

Power supply reliability guarantee

The standard requires that dual-channel AC input must be equipped with electrical + mechanical double interlocking devices, and the MTBF index must reach more than 1×10⁴ hours. In particular, the strict requirements for the noise voltage of high-frequency switching rectifier equipment are proposed in reference to TB/T 2993.2-2016.

UPS working mode

  • Parallel redundant mode: multiple UPSs can be connected in parallel through a synchronous controller
  • Independent dual bus: two completely independent power supply systems
  • Stand-alone mode requires a backup battery pack

Implementation suggestions

Lightning protection and grounding system construction

Article 9.2 of the standard clearly requires the use of voltage-limiting SPD devices. It is recommended to install a Class I SPD at the input end of the distribution cabinet, and its voltage protection level Up should be ≤2.5kV. Typical implementation plan:

  1. AC power distribution panel is equipped with three-level SPD protection
  2. DC working grounding resistance ≤4Ω
  3. Equipment rack and grounding bus are connected by 35mm² copper cable

Standard evolution analysis

Compared with the old version of the standard, the 2016 version is mainly improved in the following aspects:

  • New outdoor MTBF requirements for UPS equipment (≥1×10⁴h)
  • Clearly define the quantitative indicator of DC power supply voltage drop ≤3.2V
  • Strengthen the interface specification between power supply monitoring system and railway environmental monitoring
