Scope

This standard specifies the cable wiring requirements inside railway rolling stock (including maglev trains and trolleybuses) and electrical cabinets (boxes) installed on railway rolling stock. This standard applies to the wiring used to complete the electrical connections of various products (including cables, busbars, terminals, plugs, and sockets) in the electrical equipment room of railway rolling stock and its electrical cabinets (boxes). The material selection criteria specified in this standard apply to cables containing copper conductors, but not to conductors for specific purposes, such as optical cables or hollow conductors (waveguides). This standard applies to:
　——Special rolling stock, such as track laying machines, ballast cleaning machines and employee transport vehicles;
　——Rolling stock used in mining;
　——Trams;
　——Cable cars. Since the wiring of rolling stock also involves cable manufacturing standards, standards such as TB/T 1484, GB 12528.11, EN 50264, EN 50306 and EN 50355 should be referred to. This standard should be used in conjunction with relevant product and installation standards. More stringent requirements than this standard may also be specified. Urban rail vehicles and subway vehicles may refer to this standard.
