Scope

This part of TB/T 3256 specifies the equipment, tools, equipment, magnetization specifications, performance verification, magnetic particle testing operations, quality assessment and magnetic particle testing records for crankshaft magnetic particle testing for railway diesel locomotives. This section is applicable to the wet continuous magnetic particle inspection of forged steel crankshafts and ductile iron crankshafts used in railway internal combustion locomotives with a special magnetic particle flaw detector for crankshafts.
