Scope

This standard specifies the principles, instruments and equipment, test conditions, materials, test procedures, result calculation and processing, instrument calibration, etc. for measuring the heat of hydration of cement. This standard applies to medium heat Portland cement, low heat Portland cement, low heat slag Portland cement, Portland cement for nuclear power engineering, Portland cement, ordinary Portland cement, slag Portland cement, volcanic ash Portland cement, fly ash Portland cement, composite Portland cement, and also applies to other cement products or cementitious materials designated to adopt this standard. It is specifically pointed out that this standard is not applicable to the determination of the heat of hydration of cement products or cementitious materials with expansion properties.
