Scope

This document provides the overall requirements for intrinsic safety assessment of chemical processes, full life cycle assessment, and guidelines for the preparation of assessment reports. This document is applicable to the intrinsic safety assessment of chemical process route selection, process development, engineering design and device operation. Technical transformation projects shall be implemented with reference to this document.
