Scope
This standard specifies the principles, symbols and instructions, specimens and equipment for tensile testing of automotive sheet metal materials at high strain rates. This standard is applicable to automotive metal sheets with a thickness within 3mm (including 3mm). The strain rate range required for the test is 10-2s-1 ~ 103s-1, and the test temperature is 10℃ ~ 35℃ (or determined by negotiation between both parties). This standard applies to hydraulic servo testing systems. Unless otherwise stated, different strain rates selected for metal plates of the same specification should be tested on the same testing equipment. Note 1: When the strain rate of the test is less than 10-2s-1, a quasi-static tensile testing machine can be used for comparison testing.
