Introduction

Standard Framework and Technological Evolution

As an upgraded version of GBZ187-2007, WS520-2017 mainly puts forward new requirements for quality control testing of Computed Radiography (CR) systems. The standard revision focuses on three dimensions:

Analysis of core test items

1. Imaging board performance test

The standard requires three key tests for IP:

  • Basic performance: including sensitivity consistency (±10%) and background noise (≤0.3OD)
  • Dose response: Verify 1-100μGy linearity at 80kVp
  • Residual signal: No residue is detected at 10μGy after 500μGy exposure

2. Spatial resolution verification

When using line pair card testing, the following must be met:

Actual case: When the nominal Nyquist frequency of the CR system is 3.3lp/mm, the measured MTF value at 3lp/mm should be ≥2.97(3×0.9)

Test environment requirements

The standard specifically emphasizes:

  1. SID must be maintained at 180cm (except for special terms)
  2. Use standard filtration (0.5mmCu+1mmAl)
  3. Ambient temperature is controlled at 23±5℃
