Introduction

Analysis of the core points of the standard

As a mandatory hygiene specification for epidemic prevention and control, this standard focuses on five common systems, including all-air air-conditioning system and fan coil unit plus fresh air system, and puts forward differentiated management requirements:

System type Fresh air requirements Cleaning frequency Strategy for high-risk areas
All-air system Operation with maximum fresh air volume Weekly disinfection Shut off return air
Fan coil unit + fresh air Directly take in outdoor fresh air Disinfection every week Enhance ventilation
Split air conditioner Need to open windows for ventilation Disinfection before use Limited time use

Key technical requirements

4.1 Hygiene and quality dual standards

The system hygiene must meet both the microbial indicators of WS 394 and the fresh air volume standards of GB 37488, including:

  • PM10 in supply air≤0.15 mg/m³
  • Total bacteria count≤500 CFU/m³
  • Fresh air volume≥30 m³/(h·person)

5.1.2 Operation strategy classification

A case of an office building shows that after adopting high-efficiency filtered return air in medium-risk areas, the return air ratio can be maintained at 50%, but it needs to be coordinated with CO₂ concentration monitoring three times a day.

Implementation recommendations

Emergency management process

  1. Shut down the corresponding area system within 2 hours after the case is found
  2. Use chlorine-containing disinfectant to immerse disinfection of the air duct
  3. Restart only after passing the hygiene evaluation

Daily monitoring focus

Special attention should be paid to the U-type water seal liquid level to prevent aerosol transmission. It is recommended to configure a differential pressure gauge to monitor the fresh air/exhaust air pressure balance.
