Scope
This standard specifies the safety and health requirements for blackboards used in teaching. This standard applies to blackboards used in ordinary classrooms, laboratories and other special classrooms in all types of schools at all levels. Blackboards used for other teaching activities and non-teaching activities such as communication, note-taking, and biography should also be used with reference. This standard does not apply to whiteboards, notice boards, and electronic memory transmission display boards.
