Scope

This standard specifies the metadata content framework of health information data sets, core metadata of health information data sets, reference metadata, citation information and code tables of health information data sets. This standard is applicable as a unified and standardized description of the attributes of health information data sets, and can also be used as the basis for the development of special metadata standards for data sets in the medical and health field.
