Introduction
Interpretation of the core content of the standard
This standard systematically standardizes the on-site rapid detection technology system for commonly used disinfectants in medical and health institutions for the first time, which mainly includes two detection methods:
| Detection method | Applicable objects | Detection accuracy | Judgment basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Semi-quantitative method with test paper | 8 types of disinfectants such as peracetic acid | ±10% | Colorimetric card control |
| Instrumental determination method | Acidic oxidizing potential water/ethanol | ±5% | pH/ORP/specific gravity value |
Analysis of key technical requirements
4.1 Semi-quantitative determination method with test paper
The operating procedure strictly follows the three steps of immersion-colorimetry-judgment:
- The sample needs to be balanced at 25℃±2℃
- The test paper immersion time is controlled according to the instructions (usually 30-60 seconds)
- Colorimetry should be carried out immediately under natural light
Typical case: When testing glutaraldehyde disinfectant, if the color of the test paper does not reach 1.8% of the standard color, it must be stopped immediately and replaced with new liquid.
Implementation Recommendations
Key Points for Quality Control
- Test strips should be stored in a dark environment with a humidity of <60%.
- Acidic oxidation potential water detection requires three consecutive measurements after the water outlet stabilizes.
- Temperature correction is required when measuring using the ethanol specific gravity method (see Appendix B).
Analysis of Standard Evolution
Compared with the 2002 version of the Technical Specifications for Disinfection, this standard adds the following:
- Detection methods for new disinfectants such as o-phthalaldehyde.
- Standardized operating procedures for on-site rapid detection instruments.
- Clear criteria for determining limit values for different disinfectants.
