Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of fire protection materials for building components. This standard applies to fire protection materials for all types of building components except wooden structures and does not apply to decorative fire retardant coatings.
