Scope
This part specifies business and protocol testing, functional testing and connection testing for point-to-point short message interoperability between fixed networks and mobile networks. This section applies to point-to-point short message service and protocol interoperability testing between fixed networks and mobile networks. Test methods for short messages within the respective networks of the interoperating parties are not included in this standard. This section applies to laboratory environment testing. Test projects that are difficult to test in a laboratory environment can be tested in a live network environment.
