本文件适用于公用电信网的XG-PON设备，其它专用电信网也可参考使用。
Scope
This standard specifies the interoperability requirements of the physical medium dependent (PMD) layer, transmission convergence (TC) layer, operation management and maintenance (OAM) function, optical network terminal management and control interface (OMCI) protocol and service-related function of the 10Gbit/s passive optical network (hereinafter referred to as XG-PON) system. This standard is applicable to XG-PON equipment of public telecommunication networks and can also be used as a reference for other private telecommunication networks.
