As a key technology for the evolution of LTE to the IoT scenario, eMTC (enhanced Machine-Type Communication) fills the gap between traditional cellular networks and LPWA technology through three major features: enhanced coverage (15dB gain), reduced power consumption (10-year battery life), and support for massive connections (50,000 terminals in a single cell). This specification systematically defines the technical requirements for the entire process of engineering construction for the first time.
