Scope

This standard specifies the general technical requirements that must be met when Ku-band communication satellites and earth stations enter domestic satellite communication networks and when domestic satellite communication systems enter domestic communication networks. This standard applies to satellite fixed services; to domestic satellite communication systems composed of domestic communication satellites and leased transponders. This standard applies to SCPC/PSK/FDMA, TDM/PSK/FDMA, TDMA, TV/FM, digital TV and other modulation and multiple access methods.
