YS/T 1241-2018 standard has established strict technical specifications for lithium sulfate products:

Key Points for Standard Implementation

Quality Inspection Specifications

The standard stipulates that the net weight of each batch of products must not exceed 10 tons, and sampling must be taken from 2/3 of the way into the packaging bag. If the chemical composition test fails, double sampling should be conducted for re-inspection. If the appearance quality fails, the entire batch will be deemed unqualified.

Packaging, Storage, and Transportation Requirements

Products must be double-packaged (inner plastic film lining + outer plastic woven bag) or plastic-laminated bags. The outer packaging must be labeled with: product name, standard number, main content, batch number, net weight, production date, place of origin, and rainproof mark. The shelf life is 1 year in a dry environment.

This standard primarily regulates the lithium sulfate by-product produced during the wet process of preparing lithium iron phosphate. With the development of the lithium battery industry, a unified standard for lithium sulfate by-products was established for the first time in 2018, resolving the previous problem of uneven product quality. The standard pays special attention to the control of impurity elements such as sodium, chromium, and lead to ensure the safety of downstream applications.
