Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificate and order (or contract) content of high-purity germanium tetrachloride. This standard applies to high-purity germanium tetrachloride prepared through a purification process using crude germanium tetrachloride as raw material. The products are mainly used as dopants for quartz optical fibers and for the preparation of high-purity germanium dioxide.
