Scope

This standard specifies the product classification, requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of high-purity germanium tetrachloride. This standard applies to high-purity germanium tetrachloride prepared through a purification process using crude germanium tetrachloride as raw material. The products are used in the preparation of high-purity germanium dioxide and as dopants for quartz optical fibers.
