Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, storage and order form (or contract) content for graphitized petroleum coke produced by electric calciners. This standard applies to electrocalcined graphitized petroleum coke (hereinafter referred to as graphitized coke), the raw material for the production of graphitized cathode carbon blocks for aluminum electrolytic cells.
