Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of medical absorbent cotton. This standard applies to medical absorbent cotton made from the hair of mature seeds of Gossypium genus Gossypium plant, which has been removed from inclusions, degreased, bleached and processed. Medical absorbent cotton is mainly used as clinical dressing in hospitals.
